1998 River Cup Tour of ScotlandTeams from the Country Club of Virginia and Willow Oaks Country Club competed against each other in the 10th Annual River Cup matches during a 1998 tour of Scotland. Over the course of nine days of golf, twenty River Cup golfers played matches on 6 of the top 100 golf courses in the world - Turnberry, Royal Troon, Muirfield, the Old Course, Carnoustie, and Royal Dornoch - as well as courses less well known but no less enjoyable. Rounds played the first 5 days of the tour were not counted toward the outcome of the Scotland River Cup, but were casual rounds with pick up matches made on the first tee. Matches determining the winner of the Scotland River Cup were conducted at Carnoustie, Royal Aberdeen, Cruden Bay, and Royal Dornoch.
