The 5th - Hole o' Cross Out, 514 yards
Players looking to go straight at the green must avoid seven bunkers strategically placed 250 yards from the tee. A safer route is to the left. Depending on the wind, the elevated green, which is shared with the 13th hole, is reachable in two.
The flag is usually visible just to the right of the left hand
of the Spectacle bunkers at 400 yards. Drive to the left of this
bunker. Both Spectacle bunkers are of severity (3) and are deceptive.
Caution suggests playing short of the Spectacle bunkers for a
surer five. The falls on the green are quite friendly but bear
in mind that the green is eighty yards deep so that pin position
is crucial.
Big John says....
Its vital that you stay left off the tee aiming for the Big Pot bunker or to its left. On your second shot with the wind behind go for the green otherwise aim between the two pot bunkers. Leaving a wedge to the green (the biggest in the world).
