Plan of 10th green

The 10th - Bobby Jones, 318 yards

This slight dog-leg left has been named the "Bobby Jones" hole in honor of the great American golfer. Three bunkers guard the left side of the fairway and another lines the right, but none should come into play. The green slopes from left to right.

Drive between the twin bunkers in the foreground, although the fairway opens out gently to the left at the range of a good drive. The green is generally flat but protected by a sharp bank at the front. A high short iron should meet no problems. There is about forty yards depth of green to play with.

In 1972, the great golfer Bobby Jones, was made a freeman of St. Andrews. At the request of the Council this hole was named after him.

Big John says....

Second of the two short par fours aim for the flag on the 7th green from the tee. If you land your second shot at the front of the green it will run up.
