2001 River Cup Tour of Ireland
    Teams from Willow Oaks Country Club and the Country Club of Virginia traveled to Ireland in June 2001 to stage a series of matches on some of the Emerald Isle's famed courses. After 8 rounds of varied formats, including the 2 Man Ballybunion Best-Ball Championship and the Black Bush Individual Medal Play Championship, 4 rounds of singles and fourball matches between the teams decided the winner of the River Cup Tour of Ireland. CCV prevailed 19-16 but only after a strong comeback by Willow Oaks' after CCV had surged to a 11-5 lead after the first two days of play. Click on any link below to view pictures from that course.
